Antiquing & Afternoon Tea

My vivid black and red cherry blossom printed corset is a bit dramatic and oh so romantic. A Japanese-inspired floral print covers a luminous satin background in a deep, luxurious tone. Incredibly smooth and lightweight, this sleek corset is perfect for my afternoon tea and stroll around this quaint town.

The print on this silk was my inspiration. I designed my corset without any bells and whistles, but I still wanted it to be bold and beautiful. This corset is really about the female silhouette. It’s about being classic yet mysterious. My corset is designed for a woman who is fashionable, romantic, and feminine yet edgy. The silhouette is timeless and one that I’ll always want to reach for because of how it makes me feel – confident and beautiful.

Throughout my journey of corseting I’ve learned to drink plenty of water, eat small regular meals of fruits, vegetables and other fiber-rich foods, take smaller bites and chew food longer, thinking “little and often”. Combined with my healthy diet and exercise, regular and frequent wearing of my corset helps contribute to waist reduction and weight loss. Corsets do not allow much expansion of the stomach, therefore it helps to control appetites and reduce food portions. The restriction helps slow down my eating, thereby allowing me to feel full before overeating. This encourages better eating habits and an appreciation for quality foods.
